It was in 1937 that Matheson Bosanquet began exporting tea. Our export division in the port of Cochin prepares the most exotic blends of tea – both Orthodox as well as CTC teas from all teas producing areas.

These special blends have, over the last 60 years, found flavour with discerning buyers in Japan, the UK and Europe.  And found their way into tea cups around the globe.  Apart from our own production, the trading and export division handles well over 6 million kgs of tea every year.  Among our buyers are the leading tea companies and packers in Japan, UK, Continental Europe, Africa, Russia, Middle East and Sri Lanka.

Parkside Factory is situated at 1860 meters above sea level has a capacity of two million kilograms of Orthodox Black Tea. One of the finest teas of South India emerge from this abode of quality and are renowned for their mellow fragrant and aromatic cups.
The Coonoor Tea Estate factory located overlooking the beautiful town of Coonoor at a height of 2035 meters above mean sea level is one of the highest in South India. It has capacity to produce one million kilograms of one of the most flavoury Orthodox Black teas and Green teas.
